Location: ZurichStart date: 01.02.2026Duration: 10 months – until 30.11.2026 Responsibilities Architect and design scalable Exadata environments with RAC, ASM, and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery. Optimize and operate Exadata systems using Smart Scan, Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC), IORM, and performance tuning tools such as AWR and ASH. Manage and automate backups, patching, migrations, and capacity planning with RMAN and Ansible. Ensure security and compliance, maintain incident/change management processes based on ITIL, and actively participate in DR exercises. Collaborate and advise across teams to improve efficiency and guide technical decisions in complex database landscapes. Qualifications 7+ years as an Oracle DBA/Engineer and 3+ years working directly with Exadata (latest X‑Series). Strong experience with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and performance tuning for large‑scale deployments. Hands‑on with Linux administration, Oracle 19c RDBMS/GRID, and Exadata KVM environments. Familiarity with DevOps practices, automation (Ansible), and proactive system monitoring using OEM. Excellent English communication skills (German a plus), and the ability to work collaboratively in international teams.
