Data Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Specialist to join our dynamic team in a cross-functional role. As part of a data-driven trading company, your analytical mind and problem-solving skills will be essential in leveraging existing data, unlocking potential improvements and fostering innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate data usage: Analyse and document data usage across the organization to promote accountability and enhance efficiency.
  2. Review Data Licenses: Assess current data licensing agreements to ensure alignment with business needs, compliance with licensing terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  3. Optimize Data Costs: Identify improvement opportunities, develop strategies and support negotiation with data providers to maximise cost efficiencies.
  4. Organize and Structure Findings: Consolidate insights from analyses, interviews, and licensing reviews to support informed decision-making.
  5. Collaborate Across Teams: Engage with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, facilitate collaboration, and provide solutions to support business objectives.
  6. Facilitate data sharing: Ensure access and establish appropriate frameworks to support effective data sharing strategies.
  7. Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose enhancements to data processes, leveraging innovative approaches, technologies and best practices to maximize value.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering, economics, computer science or a related field with strong academic performance.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a consulting role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Proactive and dependable individual with effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, punctual, and goal-driven person who is motivated to work in an international environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian.
