Legal Entity Accountant

Are you a dedicated and knowledgeable accounting professional seeking to make an impact in a dynamic team?
For our Accounting department in Zurich, we are looking for a person who will take on the lead accountant role for specific group companies.
What would your role be?
- Be responsible for the full set of financial statements of the respective entities (statutory financial statements, group reporting package, related regulatory reporting)
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements incl. further reporting elements (fixed asset schedules, intercompany reports)
- Assist in the preparation and revision of the annual budget, whilst analysing financial data to forecast future performance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and the internal tax team
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process of the respective entities
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial reporting
- Significant contribution to the global introduction of SAP S/4HANA for the Vontobel Group and its group companies including the design of future-oriented finance processes and controls
What are we looking for?
- At least 8 years of experience in finance and accounting, as well experience in international accounting standards (IFRS required)
- Higher education with specialization in finance, accounting and controlling (Diploma as Certified Expert in Accounting & Controlling, Chartered Specialist in Accounting & Financial Management or an equivalent qualification).
- Technical proficiency in financial software (SAP S/4 HANA would be a plus) combined with a high level of IT affinity
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- A high sense of responsibility, initiative and familiarity with handling sensitive data
- Structured, independent, and precise working method with a high demand for quality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and German language.
