DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of the CREWS Secretariat and reporting to the CREWS Programme Officer, the Associate M&E Officer will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation and management of M&E systems and processes within CREWS. The role will involve working with Implementing Partners, project teams and other stakeholders to ensure that CREWS projects achieve their intended objectives and that project results are accurately measured, reported and utilized for learning and decision-making.

Key tasks:

  1. Assist in the development of M&E plans in line with the CREWS Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework;
  2. Support in tracking the CREWS core indicators to measure progress and outcomes;
  3. Support in analyzing and interpreting M&E data to assess performance, identify trends and inform decision-making;
  4. Assist in preparing portfolio reports and updates summarizing progress, achievements, challenges and lessons learned;
  5. Support in effective communication of M&E findings and their use to inform project implementation and improvement;
  6. Assist with the coordination and management of project evaluations to assess project impact and effectiveness;
  7. Support learning and capacity building activities related to M&E;
  8. Collaborate with M&E team members and experts of the Implementing Partners to continually improve M&E systems and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Master's degree or equivalent in social sciences, international development or a related field. A first-level university degree with 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:
A minimum of two years working experience. Strong analytical, communication and data organization skills. Experience working with different M&E methodologies, tools and software and familiarity with Early Warning in the context of LDCs and SIDS.

Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written). Knowledge of other official languages of the Organization would be an advantage.

Possibility of renewal: subject to the availability of funds and pending satisfactory performance after an initial probationary period of one year which can be extended up to a maximum of two years.

SALARY AND ALLOWANCES:

Annual net base salary on initial appointment is: US$ 50377

Annual post adjustment on initial salary is: US$ 40805 (in addition to the net base salary)
