Lead Consultant SAP S/4HANA Finance / Controlling
Location: Zurich (Hybrid work model)

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Lead Consultant SAP S/4HANA Finance / Controlling with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade complex solutions and involved in all phases of greenfield project implementation. Cognizant’s SAP Practice is currently seeking a highly skilled Lead SAP S/4HANA FICO Consultant who will be a part of a high-performing team that is passionate about delivering results and catering to the needs of projects in DACH and other regions of Europe, customers for business opportunities such as implementation, transformation, and managed service projects.

Your Key Result Areas:

  1. Perform detailed analysis of complex business processes’ requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements.
  2. Facilitate workshops to collect business & technical requirements to create solution designs for an implementation.
  3. Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.
  4. Design, customize, configure, and test SAP S/4 HANA Finance/Controlling modules.
  5. Identify gaps, issues, and work around solutions.
  6. Act as liaison with the client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve issues.
  7. Document business requirements, process flows, functional designs, test cases, and results.
  8. Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
  9. Provide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects.
  10. Act as a liaison between the client’s business functions and the technical team.
  11. Provide training and user support as required.
  12. Be a subject matter expert in business consulting and technical architecting SAP S/4HANA FI/CO solutions.
  13. Work self-directed and independently; act as subject matter expert/mentor to junior members.

Your Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
  2. Several years of SAP FICO experience.
  3. Experience in a minimum of 3-5 SAP greenfield projects implementation and involvement in all phases of the project life cycle.
  4. Demonstrable experience in SAP Automatic Payments, SAP Profit Center Accounting, SAP Cost Center Accounting, SAP Taxation, SAP Internal Orders, SAP Classic GL, SAP Accounts Receivable, SAP Accounts Payable, SAP Asset Management, SAP Closing, SAP FER 26 Reporting, SAP Controlling.
  5. Experience in SAP Greenfield & Brownfield projects with SAP Activate methodology. Working across both waterfall and agile on-premises implementation, cloud migrations, and cloud transformational projects.
  6. Preferred – good know-how in SAP FS-CD modules.
  7. Preferred – if experienced in SAP ABAP, Fiori Apps, and Applications-Integration development related to SAP FICO modules.
  8. Preferred – if experience in insurance industry solutions.
  9. Exceptional oral and written communication skills in German and English.
  10. Experienced in onsite/nearshore-offshore engagements with results-driven delivery.
  11. Flexible to travel to client locations and work with client business & IT stakeholders in a team and at individual capacity.
