NAT SEC - Assistant Principal & IB Diploma Programme Coordinator - 400 009 Position at International School of Geneva, Campus des Nations. Position Overview Seeking a senior leadership appointment for August 2026. This full‑time role combines assistant principal duties for Years 12/13 with IB Diploma Programme Coordinator responsibilities, including a 33 % teaching component. Job Purpose As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, participate in the promotion of the Foundation’s mission, vision and guiding statements. Contribute to a professional and harmonious relationship within the school community. Ensure the delivery of high‑quality teaching and learning across Years 12 and 13. Coordinate effective delivery of student wellbeing, behaviour and pastoral care for Years 12/13. Oversee the planning, implementation, organisation and administration of the IB Diploma Programme. Supervise the IB Career‑related Programme coordinator. Deputise for the Principal when required. Main Accountabilities Safeguard the reputation and promotion of the School. Collaborate with the Principal in accreditation, authorisations and evaluations. Assist in communicating DP and CP programme goals to teachers, students and parents. Lead, recruit, induct, appraise and develop staff. Organise and chair Heads of Department and Heads of Year meetings. Assess annual staffing needs with the Principal. Provide staff with pedagogical updates and resources. Lead curriculum planning and whole‑staff meetings. Coordinate staff professional learning days as requested. Manage educational programmes and review quality of provision. Promote high standards of teaching and learning. Advance global citizenship and intercultural learning. Take responsibility for curriculum content, balance, development and review. Monitor effectiveness of the curriculum against national and international standards. Assist in reviewing outcomes to evaluate, and revise curriculum and methodology. Plan for long‑term curriculum development. Manage CAS and Service Learning implementation. Lead innovation and develop plans for meeting curriculum goals. Integrate technology to support teaching and learning. Provide the Senior Leadership Team with relevant information and statistics. Support students’ direction and wellbeing. Oversee student behaviour and wellbeing with Heads of Year. Coordinate assessment and reporting; ensure students are informed of policies. Work with the School Psychologist, Pastoral teams, Learning Support and parents. Assist with student admissions, meetings with applicants and families. Maintain up‑to‑date and functional technology. Promote data‑driven decision making. Ensure legal compliance and contribute to policy implementation. Manage expenses and budget for teaching materials and staff development. Supervise correspondence with external organisations such as IBO and CIS. Network with Swiss and international schools to exchange best practices. Diverse and cumulative deep educational knowledge. More than 10 years of work experience. Successful experience leading a large team. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong decision‑making skills and sense of accountability. Ability to establish organisational objectives and assign responsibilities. Fluency in English or French with good working knowledge of the other language.
