Workshop Technician - Electro Shop Jet Aviation is seeking a Workshop Technician – Electro Shop to join its aviation services team. Location: Basel, BS, 4030, Switzerland. Shift patterns: Day shift – Monday to Friday, 07:00 a.m. to 04:15 p.m. (42.5 hours). Late shift – Monday to Thursday, 02:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (40 hours). Position Summary The Electro Shop works hand in hand with the Cabinet Shop to create lightweight, high-quality furniture for aircraft interiors. As an Electro Technician, you assemble and install electrical wiring looms and harnesses within custom-built furniture and interior monuments, ensuring compliance with technical drawings, aviation regulations, and quality standards. You work from 3D models to finished installation, supporting both manufacturing and system integration processes in our state‑of‑the‑art workshops. Responsibilities Assemble and install cable looms, harnesses, and electrical components in furniture and monuments such as cabinets, credenzas, vanities, galleys, lavatories, bulkheads, doors, cargo IFE racks, relay module panels, circuit breaker modules, tables, seats, divans, and ceiling shells. Support continuity, isolation, and power checks on interior furniture before delivery to the Final Assembly Line. Perform electrical assembly operations according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Carry out integration and disassembly operations on monuments and subassemblies prior to finishing processes. Print and apply loom identification labels per engineering and regulatory requirements, following internal processes. Perform basic electrical connections on plugs, relays, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment. Maintain traceability of all components, materials, and parts in accordance with company and aviation standards. Operate hand and power tools safely, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Inspect work, report any defects to supervision, and ensure product protection throughout the production process. Participate actively in 5S, EH&S audits, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Support continuous improvement and learning of new materials, techniques, and installation methods. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with all company safety policies and environmental regulations. May perform installations or modifications on aircraft under supervision. Ensure timely completion and high quality of own work in line with set targets and standards. Qualifications Electrical apprenticeship or basic electrical diploma (or equivalent experience). Proven knowledge in reading and interpreting electrical and manufacturing drawings. Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and measuring tools. Experience working with aerospace materials and related tools preferred. Previous experience in the aviation industry is an advantage. Strong attention to detail, precision, and adherence to quality standards. English proficiency: minimum B1 level (written and spoken). Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
