We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2025 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Global Wealth Management business.
You’ll get to:
- assess the current political and regulatory developments in relation to the Swiss retirement system and wealth planning topics
- support the team with data collection and documentation for research projects
- co-author research reports on current retirement and wealth planning topics
- collaborate with different teams with a goal of improving our client experience and driving engagement
You’ll be working in our Global Wealth Management team in Zurich. We provide advice-based solutions to deliver products and services designed to address the needs of ultra-high net worth and high-net worth individuals and families. We’ve successfully built the number one wealth management franchise in the world. You’ll work with the best talent in the industry, as we help manage, preserve and grow the wealth of our clients.
The Retirement & Public Policy Research team is part of the Chief Investment Office, a key part of UBS GWM, dedicated to providing advice to private wealth clients. The team analyzes the financial stability of the Swiss retirement system, taking political and regulatory developments into account, and communicates the insights to internal and external clients through publications, presentations, and media appearances.
Your expertiseWe’re looking for a candidate who:
- has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree, and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree), preferably with a major in Economics
- has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
- is a team player with a structured work approach and confident, independent working skills
- is motivated to work in an environment with high standards of quality
- is interested in economics, financial markets, the Swiss retirement system, numbers, and models
- has experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, additional Python programming skills are an advantage
- has an excellent command of English (written and oral), fluency in German or French preferred

Start Date: February or March 2025
Your programThis paid internship will last 6 months, with a potential 3-month extension. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
