Senior Category Manager - IT and Marketing

EMEA Recruitment is supporting a global organisation in the industrial sector that seeks a Senior Category Manager with expertise in managing IT and Marketing categories to be based near Solothurn, Switzerland.

You will assist in managing the strategic procurement of all IT hardware and software globally and support other indirect categories when required.

As Senior Category Manager, you will assist senior internal stakeholders at a country, regional and global level to ensure all user needs are met and the business can benefit from efficient and advanced software and hardware solutions to give a competitive edge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to expand their horizons in a truly global role (with a significant operating presence across all continents) and strategically manage a variety of key indirect service categories.

Therefore, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and able to positively engage multi-national teams, internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Requirements
  • We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:
  • Educated to degree or equivalent level
  • Confident in dealing with large IT providers – especially software suppliers
  • Ideally, 4+ years of experience within Indirect Procurement at a strategic level
  • Experience in dealing directly with suppliers – confident in sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier delivery
  • High level of PC literacy and familiarity with digital Procurement tools
  • Fluent English and German is essential.
