Reporting to the Head of Operational Safety, you will leverage your expertise to enhance rescue protocols and procedures, ensuring best practices are implemented across all FIA-sanctioned events worldwide.

MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
  • Oversee research projects aimed at improving operational safety, including rescue protocols, procedures, and equipment, in collaboration with the FIA Research Group, external agencies, and industry partners.
  • Actively participate in accident investigations.
  • Provide operational support to FIA World Championship rescue and medical teams regarding procedures, training, and equipment procurement.
  • Collaborate with FIA Official Suppliers to develop and improve rescue and medical equipment.
  • Develop and disseminate best practice guidelines and other communication materials related to medical intervention in race conditions.
  • Provide administrative support to the FIA Medical Commission, including the organization of medical seminars and workshops worldwide.
  • Draft and update regulations to enhance the medical and rescue aspects of the Sporting Regulations and the Appendices of the International Sporting Code.
  • Participate in meetings of relevant FIA Commissions and working groups.
PROFILE:
  • Minimum of 5 years leading and managing rescue teams in an emergency response, fire & rescue, or motorsport environment.
  • Ability to track project milestones and ensure objectives are met.
  • A background in business management or health sciences is a plus.
  • Operational experience with an ASN (National Sporting Authority) or a sporting federation is a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including developing training content and drafting medical and regulatory documents.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to five times per year for up to four days per trip.
