Job Summary:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for providing a full range of finance support for their assigned functional management partners, and acts as a liaison between their assigned business functions and the finance/accounting organization. The FP&A Manager will also be responsible for the functions, activities and staff associated with the commissions department.

Reporting Relationships:

This job reports to: Director, or Vice President, FP&A. Reporting directly to this position are the following job titles: International Commissions team, International FP&A Analysis team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • FP&A Manager’s primary role is to partner with assigned business functions to provide analytical decision support and performance analysis, recommend and implement actions, drive more efficient and profitable results, achieve annual financial plans and business objectives;
  • Responsible for accurately forecasting and reporting results on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis;
  • Provide comprehensive variance analysis, including identification of gaps, trends and opportunities within the business and recommendations for possible course corrections necessary to functional and finance management;
  • Prepare annual revenue, opex, headcount, and capital budgets as well as quarterly forecasts for assigned business functions, including planning for strategic objectives, revenue, headcount, initiatives, expenses and operational metrics;
  • Identify opportunities for business improvements leading to higher revenue, increased efficiencies or cost savings. Make recommendations for actions and drive implementation;
  • Plan, facilitate and implement ad hoc analysis to support decision making, evaluate business initiatives, evaluate performance, etc;
  • Performs other duties or special projects as requested;
  • Comprehensively manage the commissions payroll and accrual process and associated contributors;
  • Collaborate in a central role to the formation of the International Sales Variable Compensation Planning process.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Six to eight years of related experience, with increasing level of responsibility;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, critical thinking and attention to detail;
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn the business;
  • Advanced financial reporting and planning system and Excel skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change throughout the organization;
  • Proven ability to effectively partner with and influence business managers;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interface effectively across all levels within the organization and across functions;
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while delivering accurate results in a timely manner;
  • Flexibility and adaptability, ability to manage in dynamic business environment with a strong sense of urgency.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field is required. MBA is preferred.
