THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Lead the regional organization responsible for commercializing and marketing company medicines within Pharma, Vaccines and new products in the EEMEA region.
  • Engage and collaborate with country-based leaders to support them to optimize the product marketing strategies and business performance.
  • Partner with policy, market access and medical affairs to enable access to company products.
  • Influence global marketing strategy to reflect EEMEA priorities and maximize business potential.
  • Reports directly to EEMEA Region President and is a member of the EEMEA Leadership Team.
  • Based in Switzerland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze markets to identify near- and long-term commercial opportunities and, in collaboration with market-based teams, develop robust strategies and tactics to maximise commercial opportunities for our pharma, vaccines and new products portfolio.
  • Provide guidance to markets in areas such as marketing strategy, financial planning, product demand planning, pricing, and business development, management of competition, marketing mix and promotion resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with Policy, Market Access, Communication & Population Health (PCPH), and Medical Affairs – to align value demonstration and to shape the access environment and advance innovation in enabling affordability.
  • Ensure alignment with global strategy, as well as utilization of relevant brand and customer tactics in the region.
  • Provide input to the global commercial team to shape the global marketing strategy and other central deliverables.
  • Identify current needs and support capability building for the product franchises in the markets.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Relevant therapeutic area experience will be an advantage.
  • Strong marketing, commercial, and launch experience, including demonstrable results.
  • Capability to recruit, energize, motivate, and lead a team comprising people from diverse cultures.
  • Effective networker with proven record of managing and influencing Global, Regional, and Market stakeholders.
  • Ability to be conversant in a science-driven, rapidly-developing environment of multiple diseases and products.
  • Professional command of English, both spoken and written.
