Responsibilities- Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions that support the strategic vision of the organization.
- Contribute to developing strategies for mitigating identified risks, including providing recommendations for security controls and countermeasures.
- Design and architect security solutions and frameworks that address the organization's security needs and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
- Ensure that security architecture supports scalability, performance, and resilience, adapting to changing technology and threat landscapes.
- Use threat intelligence to adjust strategies and plans, ensuring that the organization remains protected against evolving threats.
- Participate in risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the development and updating of security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Contribute to the establishment of performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for security initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry, including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
- Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.
- Perform the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise's security documents specifically.
- Collaborate closely with the outsourced SOC to identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents and breaches promptly.
- Evaluate, configure, and manage security tools and technologies to ensure they meet the organization's needs.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
- Assist in the development and updating of security policies and procedures based on operational experience and emerging threats.
- Recommend and implement changes to improve security practices and incident response procedures based on review findings.
- Document security requirements and controls to protect information, systems, and technology assets.
- Define and document the impact of new technology implementations on the current security posture.
- Record and update all definitions and architecture activities as needed.
- Contribute security requirements for inclusion in requests for proposals (RFPs), statements of work (SOWs), and other procurement documents.
- Inform project team members about current and emerging security threats.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the cybersecurity domain.
- Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CISSP, or similar are preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in cloud security, with a strong background in managing Microsoft/Azure security solutions, including Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and compliance requirements, specifically in the context of Azure.
- Proficiency in Azure security features, network security, identity and access management, and risk management.
- Understanding of computer networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS) and network security methodologies.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of security design principles, including defense-in-depth, least privilege, and secure by design.
- Familiarity with established architecture frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Results-driven, high-energy, and self-motivated.
- Capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Able to meet tight deadlines.
