Main Purpose: We are looking for a motivated, experienced and ambitious VegOil Operator to join our team in Geneva office.The preferred applicant should possess basic understanding of the vegetable oil industry, solid contract expertise, and a demonstrated track record of leading a team.This role will involve supporting the trading team in performing physical and paper trades and actively supervising a global operations team. Additionally, the candidate will also have the opportunity to train current operators in vegetable oil implementation and contract expertise.This role is crucial in bringing commercials and operations to a successful combination.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key ResponsibilitiesKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesBachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing operations related to vegetable oilProven expertise in coordinating a teamStrong interpersonal skillsSolid understanding of FOSFA / NOFOTA / PORAM contracts, Incoterms, LC’s and shipping documents.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the execution of all physical vegetable oil business in a brand-new business area for the company.Instruct and advise the current operators on the details of vegetable oil contract executionIn time execution of physical shipments / contracts, documentation, LC’s.Being the pivotal point of contact between Trade, Customers, Chartering, Finance and Logistics.Be the point of contact for inspection companies, port agents, customers, suppliers etc.CompetenciesDecision-Making: Ability to make informed decisions with mentorship support.Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.Collaboration: Values teamwork and performs well in a collaborative environment.Integrity: High ethical standards and integrity in all operational activities.Key Relationships and Department OverviewKey Relationships:Vegetable oil tradersOperations teamDeals Desk teamCredit teamTrade finance teamThe vegetable oil and feedstocks trading desk is responsible for the buying, selling, and risk management of vegetable oil, a key feedstock in biofuel production. The team conducts market analysis, develops trading strategies, executes trades, and manages relationships with suppliers and customers to optimize profitability and mitigate market risks.Additionally, the desk engages in paper trading of vegetable oil, using financial derivatives to hedge physical positions and speculate on market movements.
