Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has two locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Analysis Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing the structural components of our Formula 1 vehicles to ensure maximum performance, reliability and safety.
The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
- Provide structural support on all stages of project development using HyperMesh and ABAQUS/Optistruct to ensure structurally efficient components.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to deliver performance in a short timescale
- Continuously improve and innovate structural analysis methodologies, tools and processes.
- Present results in a clear and concise manner
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in motorsport industry (including Formula Student)
- Proficiency in Hypermesh and ABAQUS/Optistruct. SimPack will be considered a plus
- Proven experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools
- Strong foundation in engineering principles and practices and excellent understanding of structural mechanics and load paths
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a practical approach to engineering solutions
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, while ensuring a high quality work
- Committed to personal and professional growth, working well with the team and thriving in the competitive environment of Formula 1
- Demonstrated honesty and strong ethical principles in all actions
- Shows a keen interest in exploring new ideas and technologies
- Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
