Position The Operations Lead, reporting to the Head of RDT AI unit, is a pivotal member of the RDT AI leadership team. This role is instrumental in influencing strategy, driving innovation, and fostering collaboration across direct and dotted‑line reports, peers, and stakeholders to optimize business outcomes. The successful candidate will effectively oversee daily operations, maximizing efficiency and productivity through resource management, process optimisation, and the development of strategic initiatives. Role Summary The Operations Lead will manage budgets and coordinate various activities across RDT to ensure the objectives of RDT AI are met on time and within budget, guarantee seamless execution of RDT’s strategy, and cultivate cross‑organisational collaboration. Opportunity Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and drive the RDT AI operations strategy, roadmap, and budget in close partnership with the Head of RDT AI unit and other senior leaders. Operational Management: Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the RDT AI department, coordinate presentations and cross‑functional projects, and define performance metrics to manage daily activities. Budget & Resource Management: Work closely with the Financial Enterprise Partner to manage the department’s budget, track planned vs actual costs, and oversee vendor and contract management. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Operational Excellence team, RDT Strategy, Portfolio, and Governance groups, and other Operations Leads in RDT to translate outputs into actionable work. Data‑Driven Decision Making: Gather and interpret large volumes of information and present concise insights to support decision‑making within the RDT AI department. Close liaison with the “Strategy, Governance and Portfolio” and “Operations Excellence” functions. Who you are Strategic & Business Acumen: Ability to define and articulate a long‑term operations strategy aligned with overarching business goals. Operational Excellence & Execution: Proven track record of managing complex digital technology operations around AI, driving efficiency, and overseeing cross‑functional projects with Agile methodologies. Influential Leadership & Change Management: Demonstrates strong influential leadership to guide teams through organisational change. Stakeholder Management & Communication: Exceptional ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and translate operational data into clear business insights. Analytical Problem‑Solving: Applies pragmatic, analytical troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues in a fast‑paced environment. Resource Management: Experience overseeing resources for mid‑sized operations, including budgets, forecasting, and contract negotiation. Professional Experience: Background in a similar operational role within a digital technology function of a multinational company is a strong advantage.
