Job Description
To expand our team in Switzerland, we are looking for Quantity Surveyors (m/f/d) who enjoy managing complex projects in the Life Sciences sector and like to work in an international environment. If you feel like you are the right person, we want to hear from you
- Develop, implement and maintain cost management procedures and processes to support projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare preliminary, elemental and detailed estimates of construction and related costs.
- Review and evaluate/value-engineer design and outline specifications and exercise cost control in conjunction with the project team.
- During the construction phase, prepare regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts and progress valuations for payment.
- Prepare proactive estimates for variations.
- Carry out project cost performance analysis to support reporting.
- Undertake quantitative and qualitative risk analysis on the project costs.
- Identify the key programme cost issues and focus attention on the critical elements for delivery within the project.
- Identify significant areas of risk based upon forecast information within the cost reports.
- Communicate the cost management standards throughout the planning and construction teams.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate or similar.
- Ideally qualified as a registered Quantity Surveyor.
- A minimum of 5 years proven experience on construction projects.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of cost databases and/or estimating software is advantageous.
