To pursue our modernization vision, we are searching for a French and English speaking Senior Solution Architect to join our Technology Consulting & Architecture Team.

As a French and English speaking Senior Solution Architect at LzLabs, you play a key role in driving the success of our business. You provide support from the early sales stages through to the Go-Live of transformation projects, ensuring seamless transitions from initial engagement to full implementation.

In the technical consulting phase, you collaborate closely with our sales team to analyze customer needs, define solution strategies, and design tailored modernization approaches for mainframe transformation projects. Your expertise helps articulate the technical value of our solutions to customers and stakeholders.

During project implementation, you take technical ownership of the solution design, maintaining oversight from planning to execution. You work closely with our service teams and cross-functional departments to ensure the successful transformation and modernization of workloads.

You act as a trusted advisor to our clients, actively guiding decision-making processes alongside senior technical stakeholders. Your commitment to establishing and maintaining standards plays a critical role in leading both LzLabs and client project teams through the complexities of mainframe modernization, ultimately ensuring a successful implementation.

Beyond your project engagements, you serve as a senior member of the LzLabs Architecture & Tech Consulting Practice, contributing to the advancement of its methodologies and architectural patterns.

As a Senior Solution Architect, your key responsibilities include the following:

1. Support initial client engagements with the sales team, acquiring a profound understanding of the technical and business challenges encountered by prospects and customers, effectively showcasing our solution's value to potential customers and partners through compelling demos and presentations, and ultimately refining our understanding of client requirements.
2. Leverage the LzLabs solution portfolio spearheading solution designs that address specific customer challenges and maximize client value, ensuring they are commercially viable and technically sound.
3. Bridge sales, development, and project implementation by facilitating seamless collaboration, ensuring technical alignment, and driving the successful transition from tech-consulting to transformation projects.
4. Assume the technical helm for solution architecture during project planning and execution, conducting thorough analysis of mainframe, target and application architectures, customer workshops, and source code analysis, collaborating with project managers from LzLabs and our partners, applying robust solution designs, and upholding architectural integrity throughout.
5. Cultivate trust with clients, becoming their go-to advisor and ensuring the evolution of the solution design aligns with each progression and insight gained through the customer journey, ensuring that the defined solution design presents a sustainable, high-quality and practical asset for the modernization requirements of our customers.
6. Exhibit leadership and dedication to exceed client expectations with the solution design, advising both in-house and external technical teams while adeptly managing client stakeholders and partners.
7. Partner with our service organization and development teams to elevate solution patterns and the service framework, drawing on insights from ongoing projects to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of our solutions delivery.

The following technical skills are key for this position:

1. Over 6 years of experience as a solution architect in the modernization of mainframe or similar technology landscapes (with a preference for IBM z/OS mainframe), within an international and client-facing capacity.
2. Strong track record in working together with sales teams and expertise in navigating through complex sales cycles efficiently, with the ability to qualify prospective customers using methodologies like MEDDPICC and drafting contractual agreements.
3. Proven experience as a solution architect or technical lead in delivering IBM mainframe modernization projects, with a steadfast focus on activities that yield measurable customer value throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of mainframe and cloud technologies, enterprise architectures, and operating systems (e.g., IBM z/OS and Linux), with strong familiarity with third-party mainframe products and services.
5. Commitment to continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest IBM mainframe advancements, distributed technologies, and industry developments.
6. Leadership style that promotes collaboration, information sharing, and motivation, inspiring team members to achieve objectives with passion and purpose.
7. Innovative and pragmatic decision-making, with the capability to synthesize out-of-the-box thinking with consistent standards, seeking out and applying synergies.
8. Expert analytical skills, capable of examining client IBM mainframe landscapes and navigating architectural decisions that reconcile diverse requirements, leveraging your profound understanding of mainframe enterprise software architecture, internet technologies, IT systems, and infrastructure.

1. Holds a higher education degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
2. Has certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, IQBBA, or ISAQB which are advantageous.
3. Experienced with MEDDPICC, SPIN, ValueSelling Framework, Solution Selling.
4. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
5. Available for travel as needed to meet project and client demands.
