In this role you will be responsible for the overall design and technical success of software projects from initial concept through to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. This includes defining the system architecture, guiding development teams on implementation, and making key decisions on tools, frameworks, and technologies. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring scalability, security, and performance, while collaborating with stakeholders, steering the project’s technical direction, and ensuring overall client satisfaction and project success.How you’ll make impactYou will be responsible for the development of complex IT architectures in innovative software solutions and for providing strategic-technological advice to our customers.You will manage teams from a technical perspective from kick-off to roll-out and will be in close contact with the project management team.With your leadership skills, you will win over, inspire and mobilize your project team and our customers for ideas.By coaching your team members in Software Engineering and Architecture and in the application of agile principles, you will make a decisive contribution to the success of a wide range of projects.With your skills and experience, you will further develop our Zühlke network of experts and work on group-wide initiatives for the continuous improvement of software development.What’s important to usYou have a degree (FH, Uni, ETH or similar) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.You have at least five years of experience as a Software Engineer and / or ArchitectYou have knowledge in the development of highly available and secure cloud solutions as well as expertise in software architectures and documentation (especially in microservices and domain-driven design as well as with tools such as UML and Arc42)You are very experienced in the Backend (e.g. Java, Spring Boot, SQL / NoSQL databases and Apache Kafka) and ideally also in the Frontend (e.g. Angular or React)You have knowledge of DevOps / GitOps, in particular CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes and monitoring as well as security (e.g. OAuth2, OIDC and authentication and authorization)You bring convincing leadership qualities and a coaching and mentoring mentality as well as a growth mindset and the willingness to learn continuouslyYou are an excellent communicator and are fluent in German and English (at least C1 level)What we offerWork life blend: we offer a safe & healthy workplace, with flexible working hours and the possibility to work from homeProfit share scheme: In addition to your annual salary, you may receive a profit share defined by the company’s success in the previous yearGlobal and Diverse Zühlke community: colleagues from all 17 offices across the globe come together to create a unique, positive and inclusive work culture, learning from one another at annual team camps, and celebrating year-end parties and other local festivities.Committed to development: we are committed to the growth of our people and are investing in your development.
