About our client
Our client is a Multi Family Office for entrepreneurs with institutional capital and has currently more than EUR 6bln under active advisory of its principals who hold majority stakes in private or public companies across a variety of sectors including hospitality, coffee, chocolate, real estate, healthcare, private equity, and the automotive industry.
The mandate focuses on advising holistically across Investment Banking, Corporate Finance/M&A, Wealth, and related investment solutions, characterized by a direct independent end-market relationship with the leading Private Equity Groups, Investment Banks, Brokers, Wealth Managers, and Investors.
The role will involve daily engagement with those parties in the interest of our principals and respective top managements of their entities focused on the cash flow and investment streams of the ultimate beneficial owners' legal entities. Most of the client base have controlling interests in public or private companies including board control and are partially listed in debt markets or have private equity and institutional capital investors across the capital structure. Thus, holistic equity and credit expertise and wealth management advisory with the leading global firms as well as transaction advisory knowledge is essential with clients seeking direct exposure to PE, direct investments in mid-market family-owned companies as well as alternatives through our Minority Investment Unit including wealth management advisory.
What the job involves
- Corporate Finance advisory (Equity & Debt Capital Markets incl. Shareholder advisory) across the capital structure of significant entrepreneur-owned companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100mln to EUR 10bln.
- Equity & Credit analysis of companies, funding solutions, and holistic ECM/DCM advisory across the entire capital structure.
- Due diligence of institutional investments including M&A opportunities such as direct investments in private companies, pre-IPO as well as loan syndications, equity/debt funding alternatives.
- Managing and developing a portfolio group owned by our principals and their investment holdings from classic private equity structures to institutional holdings including the instruments in scaling and accelerating growth such as equity or credit-related transactions.
- Advise and support all aspects regarding diversification of wealth of our entrepreneurs, including their wealth management advisory including a dedicated Investment Committee with a globally renowned advisory board.
- In this role, you will be highly involved in all aspects of IB, Corporate Finance, Public and Private investment solutions and the execution as well as holistic diversification of wealth in context of their core assets.
- The work includes transaction execution (both private and public equity) as well as strategic advisory requiring a thorough entrepreneurial mindset and vast business network. You will work closely with the core team as well as our extended partner and globally recognized advisory board including the leading global institutions for investment banking, wealth management, and advisory.
- M&A, ECM, DCM, Alternative Capital Investment & Funding Solution due diligence as well as market research, analysis of investment opportunities.
- Interact daily and build relationships with our privately owned groups, current PE franchise, investment banks, brokers, wealth managers, and other intermediaries and seek the most suitable capital solutions catering to their needs.
- Lead the M&A due diligence across all our principals' business interests including the due diligence with the leading banks.
- Approach network partners (e.g., corporate finance consultants, PE investors, including general corporate development as well as all forms of wealth managers).
Who we are looking for
- A completed Master's degree.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Private Equity, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Wealth Management with IB focus.
- Knowledge of financial modelling, balance sheet, and P&L analysis.
- Understanding of Wealth Management.
- A strong international network of investors, corporates, private equity, and growth capital entrepreneurs.
- Ability to work independently.
- Characteristics such as eager to learn, entrepreneurial, ambitious, and flexible.
- Excellent command of English, ideally German and French or Italian in word and writing.
