Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Planner with strong expertise in SAP (acting as a Poweruser/Key User) to join their dynamic engineering environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. Material Planner (a) 100% for 3 - 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage material planning processes to ensure the timely availability of components for production.
  • Maintain accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and master data in SAP to ensure optimal inventory management.
  • Act as an SAP Poweruser/Key User, supporting system enhancements, troubleshooting issues, and providing training to colleagues.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, production, logistics, and engineering teams to align material supply with project requirements.
  • Monitor supply chain performance, identifying and mitigating potential risks related to material shortages or excess inventory.
  • Optimize inventory levels while ensuring cost efficiency and meeting production schedules.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, driving efficiency in material planning and logistics processes.
  • Analyze SAP MRP (Material Requirements Planning) reports and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues and ensure on-time material availability.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives related to materials management and inventory control.

Your Profile:

  • 5-10 years of experience in material planning, supply chain management, or production planning within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in SAP (MM, PP, or related modules) with experience as a Poweruser or Key User.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, procurement processes, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Experience working with BOMs, MRP, and logistics coordination.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) / German nice to have.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of material planning processes.
