Position summary:
We are currently looking for a highly competent Buyer who will work closely with the Procurement Managers in managing the commercial and sourcing activity for Rigid Packaging used by Nestlé worldwide. Reporting directly to the Global Category Lead, you will support the definition and the implementation for the category strategy on a regional level and strongly contribute on delivering the zone’s sustainability objectives.

A day in a life of a Buyer – Rigid Packaging:

1. Support the team for assigned tasks, including examples such as data management, forecasting, project support and other tasks.
2. Interact with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to monitor and drive progress for cost initiatives, source to pay challenges, sustainability, and responsible sourcing initiatives.
3. Learn the fundamentals of procurement category management to serve as a backfill when needed in support of the extended packaging team.
4. Manage the day-to-day procurement activities, RFx and contracting process for selected markets or businesses.
5. Contribute to develop and execute the category strategy to deliver value to the business from cost improvements, sustainability activities and ensuring supply.
6. Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies, and standards.

What makes you successful:

1. University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain and/or Engineering.
2. Confirmed experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
3. Ability to work in an international and complex environment.
4. Strong command of Excel and at ease with SAP and PowerPoint.
5. Understanding of National and International Procurement Regulations.
6. Experience in ESG initiatives and knowledge of GHG emissions, understanding of Nestle ESG targets and requirements.
7. Fluent in English, another language will be an asset.
