Job Description:

The Bern Retail Store located at the Bern Temple Site in Zollikofen supports members of their Church in obtaining gospel resources and sacred clothing.

  1. Provide high-quality customer service which requires product knowledge to assist customers.
  2. Respond to customer questions regarding curriculum, proper fitting of clothing, or similar issues.
  3. Possess cashiering skills coupled with product knowledge acquired on the job.
  4. Acquire product knowledge during a brief learning period of approximately one to three months.
  5. Develop understanding of new products added to inventory to adequately serve customers.
  6. Provide personal-fitting services to patrons at Beehive Clothing Distribution Centers.
  7. Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the facility, equipment, and storage areas are in good condition.
  8. Serve patrons by responding to questions and finalizing the sale of selected products.
  9. Assist patrons to ensure proper fit and product usage, requiring an understanding of variations in styles, fabrics, properties, and cleaning methods.
  10. Respond to questions regarding curriculum ordering procedures or content.
  11. Operate the point-of-sale terminal.
  12. Resolve customer problems while ensuring quality customer service techniques are used.
  13. Assist with inventory and cycle counts.
  14. Serve patrons in German, French, Italian, and English, accommodating differences in international sizing.
  15. Assist in the creation of product and inventory displays as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Education or equivalent.
  • Retail Sales and Customer Service experience.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Basic Math and Computer skills preferred.
  • Availability to work as scheduled from Tuesday to Saturday including bank holidays.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in at least two of the following languages: German, French, English, and Italian, and willingness to learn a third one.
  • Candidates should be living in Switzerland.
