This project presents a significant building block for Arxada's growth strategy at our Visp site and it involves the production of a new, promising product for an internationally premier customer. This role requires a strategic and expert hands-on leader, who will be based in Visp, to deliver the project successfully.Essential Job Functions:Lead and engage a multidisciplinary team within a multifaceted environmentLead matrix project organization with clear roles and responsibilities and strong alignment between engineering, technical procurement, and construction teamsTake high-impact decisions, ensuring timely resolution of conflicts and roadblocks while maintaining scope integrityBalance parallel workstreams, prioritizing critical-path activities while preventing bottlenecks with proactive risk mitigation.Coordinate detailed design development, ensuring integration across process, mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplinesServe as the key liaison between executive leadership, internal teams and external engineering firmsContinuously supervise project financials, proactively adjusting strategies to maintain budget disciplineQualifications & Experience:Min. 10+ years in sophisticated and large CAPEX projects in chemical or equivalent industryShown ability to lead projects in matrix organizations with multiple collaboratorsTrack record of successful delivery on time and budgetExpertise in process engineering, construction and plant commissioningAbility to build, engage, empower and drive teamsFluent in German and EnglishArxada has world class offering intwo distinct areas:Microbial Control Solutions (MCS)focuses on threats posed by microorganisms to people and planet through five distinct business lines including Professional Hygiene, Home & Personal Care, Wood Protection, Paints & Coatings and Material Protection.Nutrition, Care & Environmental (NCE),meanwhile, provides materials used to manufacture composites for electronics, aerospace and other markets, as well as vitamins and nutritional ingredients, chemicals and performance intermediates, and raw materials for a wide range of high-performance applications.Arxada is an equal opportunity employer.
