Job Title: Laboratory Specialist Microbiological Quality Control

Location: Lengnau, Switzerland

Position Summary:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Specialist Microbiological Quality Control to join our hardworking team. Your role will involve several tasks in the Microbiology Quality Control Department to support our efforts in the manufacture of biologics as a contract development and manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine laboratory sampling and testing.
  2. Complete documentation to company standards.
  3. Ensure all work aligns with departmental procedures and cGMP.
  4. Meet testing lead times, barring unforeseen circumstances.
  5. Communicate optimally and proactively with site colleagues.
  6. Implement health and safety procedures for personal and team duties.
  7. Undertake additional tasks as the need arises.
  8. Apply cGMP in all areas of work and business.

Health & Safety:

  1. Understand and follow emergency procedures and safe systems of work.
  2. Align with all EH&S requirements.
  3. Promote safety behaviours in the working environment.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor in life sciences or apprenticeship as laboratory technician with several years of professional experience in the field of microbiology / life sciences / biomedical or similar.
  2. Proven experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  3. GMP experience is recommended; training will be provided.

  3. Self-motivated and proactive.

  2. Ensure compliance with EH&S rules, signage, and instructions.
