Application Integration Specialist (IBM MQ/ACE) Join to apply for the Application Integration Specialist (IBM MQ/ACE) role at Experis Switzerland Location: Zurich Start date: 01.01.2026 Duration: 12 months – until 31.12.2026 Key Responsibilities Support the DevOps team in designing, developing, and implementing message flows and integration patterns on the financial messaging integration platform across IBM Application Enterprise Connect, IBM MQ / IBM MQ MFT, and Appia FIX Engine. Configure and automate IBM MQ components (e.g. Queue Managers, subscriptions, channels, queues, routing) and troubleshoot production issues. Analyze existing integration solutions, provide detailed technical reviews to development teams, and drive improvements in application integration, automation (continuous delivery), and functional extensions of the platform. Collaborate with network, application, security, architecture, and platform teams to enhance messaging infrastructure, systems, procedures, and data security. Contribute to the continuous evolution of the integration and messaging landscape, promoting best practices in DevOps, monitoring, and reliability for financial messaging flows (including FIX and ISO 20022 based integrations). Qualifications Strong understanding of SOA, EAI, and message‑oriented middleware concepts, with at least 6 years’ experience as an IBM developer on IBM IIB or ACE and at least 4 years’ experience as an IBM MQ administrator in banking/finance. Proven knowledge in mapping and transforming SWIFT, SIC, SECOM, and ISO 20022 messages, plus solid understanding of the FIX protocol and hands‑on experience with order and trade flows. Proficiency in ESQL and at least one additional scripting or programming language (e.g. Bash/Shell, Perl, Python, Java), along with strong command of MQ commands, Linux, and Oracle environments. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, complemented by certifications such as IBM Certified Solution Developer, App Connect, and IBM System Administrator for MQ. Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work independently; highly organized, self‑motivated, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high quality and reliability in a mission‑critical financial integration environment.
