Job Description


Your mission:

To strengthen our Synechron Switzerland team, we are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join us in supporting one of our clients, a very well-established bank private bank in Geneva. We value diverse perspectives and encourage candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and identities to apply.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will design, develop, and maintain various applications using Java, particularly focusing on backend technologies;
  • You will actively contribute to creating and refining best practices within the team for development and industrialization processes;
  • You will participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and assist in identifying production issues, developing effective fixes to resolve these challenges promptly;
  • You will design and write code for software infrastructure and configure software components, with a strong emphasis on security;
  • You will stay informed about best practices in market and bank development and industrialization.

Qualifications


Your profile and skills:

  • You hold a higher education degree in Computer science or a related field;
  • You have experience with backend technologies such as Java, along with frameworks like EAP6, Quarkus, Spring Boot, and Node.js;
  • You have experience in optimizing queries in relational databases, particularly MongoDB;
  • You are familiar with Agile methodologies, more specifically Scrum;
  • You possess qualities that make you responsible, structured, and committed to your work;
  • You consider yourself flexible, open-minded, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team;
  • You speak fluent French and English;
  • You reside in Switzerland.
