Project/ Process Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary representative for the project engineering team throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the design phase to project handover, covering design, technical support, procurement, construction, commissioning, and qualification.
  • Review and provide feedback on all engineering documentation, including P&IDs, equipment lists, calculations, data sheets, specifications, URS, TS, and drawings.
  • Participate in the approval process for critical engineering documents such as Fluid Lists, P&IDs, and CQV documentation.
  • Ensure accountability for the project schedule and budget within the defined scope of work.
  • Coordinate all stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery while adhering to budget constraints for the assigned scope.
  • Contribute to safety risk analysis (e.g., HAZOP) and take ownership of mitigation actions within the mechanical discipline.
  • Review and approve commissioning and qualification (C&Q) documentation.
  • Provide support for commissioning and qualification activities through to the successful handover to Operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Process, Pharmaceutical, Biochemical, or a related discipline).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Project Engineering or Project Management within the (bio)chemical or pharmaceutical industries, including international project experience.
  • Strong technical expertise across multiple engineering disciplines within the pharmaceutical environment, including clean and black utilities, process systems, automation, instrumentation, and civil engineering.
  • Proven experience as an engineering package owner on full-scale startup projects, from design through to commercial operations.
  • Task-oriented individual with a demonstrated ability to meet objectives and achieve results within set deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of the CQV lifecycle and its integration into engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects effectively.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
