Solution Advisor (f/m/d) SAP Intelligent Spend and Business Network
 

We're excited to expand our SAP Solution Advisory team, which is dedicated to servicing the Middle and Eastern European region, particularly Switzerland. We're searching for talented individuals experienced in SAP Intelligent Spend (Ariba) and Business Network.

Job Profile

As a SAP Solution Advisor, you aim to steer conversations with prospective customers toward successful deal closings. You will serve as a domain expert in procurement business processes. You will map these processes with SAP solutions like SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, and SAP Business Network. Through direct interaction with prospective clients and partners, you will demonstrate SAP solutions and provide expert advice regarding business outcomes and the value they gain.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Assessing customer priorities and transformation strategies in discovery conversations.
  • Collaborating with the wider Sales Team to develop a winning sales strategy.
  • Translating business requirements into solutions for our customers.
  • Composing and delivering superior sales presentations and demonstrations covering SAP and partner procurement software solutions to prospective customer audiences. These presentations should articulate the sales message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression on audiences, including senior company executives.
  • Responding to RfX inquiries within set deadlines in cooperation with the global RfX Center of Excellence.
  • Involve partners in opportunities and support them to sell effectively.
  • Acting as a “solution captain” for deals that require complex solutions and multiple expert contributors.
  • Providing limited post-sale support, such as innovation presentations and best practices.
  • Supporting one-to-many sales and marketing events.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities at accounts.
  • Maintaining a high-level knowledge of SAP’s procurement/supply chain solution suite in your area of responsibility.
  • Understand key competitors and ensure local team members leverage SAP’s unique value propositions in every customer interaction.

Experience and Language Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. Advanced degrees such as a Master's, MBA, or PhD are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement, procurement excellence, or customer-facing roles such as consulting, presales, or product/solution management.
  • Experience with end-to-end processes/solution matching and IT architectures, preferably in procurement and/or supply chain management, is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of business processes in procurement and supply chain (source to pay) and capabilities of SAP Intelligent Spend (Ariba / Fieldglass) and Business Network. Knowledge of similar solutions from competitors or SAP ERP expertise is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven interpersonal and team skills at all levels and in multi-cultural environments.
  • Business fluency in German and English is required to advise our clients.
  • Proficiency in additional Middle and Eastern European languages (French, Czech, etc.) is a plus.
