Senior Software Engineer

Atinary Technologies is currently seeking an experienced backend Engineer to join its team in Lausanne (Epalinges). Your mission will be to sustain and enhance current and new features of our cloud-based software platform within a multidisciplinary and international team.

ABOUT YOU

Do you already have substantial experience in a senior developer role and cloud-based software platform within a multidisciplinary and international team? Then, to enjoy working with us, you should also:

  • Work in the office (Lausanne, Switzerland) at least three days per week (max. two days per week remotely).

  • Expect participating in important decisions regarding software stacks and technology.

Your responsibilities in more details:

  • Design, develop, improve and maintain our software architecture, APIs, SDKs, and DBs for our SaaS solution.
  • Build efficient, scalable, stable and reusable Python-based code.
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of industry best practices across the engineering team to ensure product quality (e.g. test automation, CI/CD, code review) and the smooth integration of different modules or services.
  • Give meaningful inputs regarding technology-related decisions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, contributing to their growth, training and development.

To be successful in your role, you must have the following qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of proven industry experience as a Software Engineer building, maintaining and operating services, in mid-to-large code bases, including at least 2 years in Python and at least 2 years in a Senior position.
  • Experience in distributed and service-oriented architectures, as well as queuing services (RabbitMQ, AWS SQS).
  • Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL databases and ORMs (e.g. SQLAlchemy).
  • Experience with CI/CD, version control mechanisms and best practices (e.g. Github).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in English. You will work in an international, English-speaking environment.

To be even more successful, the nice-to-have qualifications are:

  • Object-oriented frameworks and patterns.
  • Experience applying regulations, standards or security best practices (e.g. handling PIIs in an ISO-compliant environment).
  • French and/or German speaker.
