Your skills make a difference here: your advice and analyses provide important decision-making bases for management. Here you can provide support for all financial matters relating to local units or to the Group's business management.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Overall responsibility and center of competence for reinsurance treaty cessions in respect of the assigned business units.
  2. Organizes, prepares, and takes part in meetings with business units and reinsurance partners (broker and reinsurer).
  3. Set up and manage reinsurance treaties, handle the reinsurance process with supporting systems and practices.
  4. Secure underwriting information (premiums, portfolio/risk profiles, claims, NatCat data in coordination with our Risk Assessment team).
  5. Analyze and review the data and prepare the underwriting information for the applicable lines of business and programs.
  6. Develop and take care of relationships with business partners within and outside the Group.
  7. Negotiate treaty terms and conditions with assigned business units and third-party reinsurers.

Your Qualifications:

  1. Proven success record as underwriter or broker in non-life treaty reinsurance.
  2. University degree, preferably in economics, business, actuarial, or any other relevant qualification in reinsurance.
  3. Fluent in German and English; any other languages such as French, Spanish, or Italian would be an asset.
  4. Ability to hold presentations to internal and external audiences.
  5. Advanced analytical and quantitative, as well as decision-making skills.
  6. Familiarity with actuarial and NatCat modelling concepts.
  7. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  8. Team player, able to cope with demanding situations and work with senior managers and key stakeholders within and outside the Group.
