ASIC Validation Engineer

OverviewSUMMARY DESCRIPTION :As Validation Engineer, you will be a key player in the ASIC R&D team, developing and employing lab validation environments to enable successful development and production ramp-ups of MEMS microphone ASICs targeting the mobile market.ResponsibilitiesWork with design team to define validation plan to meet device specification and system expectationsWork out validation / measurement concepts for mixed-signal MEMS microphone ASICsDevelop hardware and software for automated validation / measurement benchesPerform design, layout and assembly of validation PCBsDevelop Python automated environmentsDevelop scripts for automated measurements and post-processingExhaustively characterize ASICs to validate performance and robustnessAnalyze results with design team and create validation reportsSupport root cause analysis and failure analysisMentor Lab Engineers in US and AsiaSupervise internsPosition / Training RequirementsDegree in Electronic Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in the semiconductor or related industryAble to work in a dynamic, high-pace environmentStrong analytical skillsExperience in designing printed circuit boards, using EDA tools such as KiCadExperience in measuring high-performance electronic circuitsSolid experience in developing Python programsFamiliarity with IC micro-probing and physical failure analysis is a plusStructured working style and good organizational skillsStrong team player, able to work independentlyExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishCompany DescriptionKnowles Corporation is a market leader and global supplier of advanced micro-acoustic, audio processing, and precision device solutions with facilities in North America, Europe and Asia.
