About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating project control activities or cost control for high-value pharmaceutical projects. You will ensure robust planning, cost control, risk management, and reporting. Key Responsibilities

For Project Controllers:

  • Lead project controls functions, including planning, cost control, risk management, and change management.
  • Provide oversight and support to project control team members, ensuring tools and processes are effectively implemented.
  • Manage and consolidate commercial reporting (e.g., scope, spend, cost, schedule, risk, and forecasting).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align capex funding, controlling, and forecasting processes.
  • Drive the development and enhancement of project controls systems and tools.

For Cost Controllers:

  • Prepare detailed cost control reports, including budgets, forecasts, expenditure, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and analyse staffing plans, ensuring accurate data collection and effective communication of personnel requirements.
  • Promote cost awareness and support budget holders in managing and understanding budgets.
  • Analyse cost data, identify variances, and articulate relevant insights to senior management.
  • Ensure alignment with cost breakdown structures for requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project controls or cost engineering roles, preferably in large-scale pharmaceutical or EPCm projects.
  • Proficiency in project controls tools (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, SAP Ariba, Oracle Primavera Unifier).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and gain consensus across teams.
  • Fluency in English is essential; German proficiency is an advantage.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
