Senior Expert / Project Leader INTRALOGISTICS SMART Factory (m/w/d) Join to apply for the Senior Expert / Project Leader INTRALOGISTICS SMART Factory (m/w/d) role at LHH. Work location: Winterthur, Switzerland Workload: 100 % permanent job position Overall Mission Full responsibility for planning, realization, and ramp‑up of the Smart Factory intralogistics. Ensure an end‑to‑end material flow solution from goods receipt to goods issue. Develop an integrated, automated, and software‑driven “Zero Touch Logistics” solution with measurable service levels. Key Responsibilities Requirements Management & Service Design – Establish a structured requirements management process for all stakeholders, facilitate interdisciplinary workshops to capture, prioritize, and align requirements, create and maintain service catalogs, line‑feeding SLAs, process maps, decision logs, and ensure traceability from requirements to acceptance. Partner Selection & Procurement Strategy – Develop sourcing and partner strategies, define requirements for technology and implementation partners, prepare tender documents, evaluate and score suppliers, conduct make‑or‑buy analyses, and recommend award decisions. KPIs & Performance Metrics – Define and implement logistics performance indicators (throughput, availability, accuracy, etc.), establish measurement methodology, data collection, reporting processes, and transparent KPI monitoring dashboards. Data & Capacity Planning – Develop a consistent data foundation, define throughputs and capacities, create material flow diagrams and simulations for layout and technology selection. Load Carriers & Packaging Materials – Define load carriers, develop standardization concepts, integrate load carrier concepts into warehouse and transport processes. System & Software Architecture – Define architecture boundaries and data flows, design message structures, traceability concepts, monitoring solutions, and ensure cybersecurity and OT/IT convergence. Concept Development & Technologies – Evaluate technological concept options (AMR/AGV, AS/RS, goods‑to‑person, robotics, conveyor systems), create layout sketches, performance models, safety concepts, and conduct CAPEX/OPEX analyses. Swiss Compliance & Construction Integration – Ensure compliance with national standards, integrate requirements into construction and architectural planning, assess structural and safety feasibility. Business Case & Sourcing – Develop and assess business cases, perform make‑or‑buy analyses, manage RFQ/RFP processes, and participate in negotiation and award decision‑making. Specification & Implementation – Prepare detailed specifications, manage implementation including simulation, site coordination, integration, data migration, and monitor system performance. Testing, Go‑Live & Ramp‑Up – Plan and execute test phases (FAT → SAT → UAT → operational tests), ensure operational readiness, execute cut‑over, hyper‑care, and establish operational organization. Continuous Improvement – Define a continuous improvement roadmap for stable operations. Your Profile Education: Engineering, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience: 10+ years in intralogistics, automation, or smart factory projects – ideally with end‑to‑end responsibility from concept to go‑live. Expertise: Proven track record in designing and implementing large‑scale logistics automation systems and smart material flow solutions. Technical Know‑what: ERP/EWM, WCS/MFS architectures, industrial automation, and digitalization principles. Mindset: Systems thinking, pragmatic action, data‑driven decision making. Collaboration: Strong cross‑disciplinary communication, stakeholder management, team inspiration. Languages: Fluent in English and German. Job Details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level.
