We use Python and Typescript to build SDLabs which helps teams around the world to improve their experimentation workflows. We don't expect you to have a background in everything we use, but we do expect strong software engineering foundations and a background with either one of our key languages.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild user-facing features in our product SDLabs doing everything from database models to UI componentsOptimize/Refactor our architecture to solve scaling challenges in the futureAdd analytics, monitoring and alerts to the system to allow us to better respond to issues before they become big problemsRedefine and improve internal software development processes so that we can build the best product possibleTechnologyAngular 2 frontend build with Angular Material and RxJSMicroservice architecture hosted on AWSPublic API that allows integration of lab robotsPython, Postgres and Redis in the backendGithub, Docker, CypressWhat we offerInteresting and challenging work in a dynamic Start-Up environmentSupport of strong ownership of features and all related decisionsInterdisciplinary (ML, Chemist, Software Engineers) and international teamFocus on Work-life balanceCompetitive Salary, equity and end of year bonusWork remotely up to two days a weekFree coffee and fruits in the officeRegular team events and OutinariesFive weeks of paid vacationQualificationsStrong analytical skills for interpreting complex problems and generating actionable insights.Excellent communication abilities in English, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical team members.Strong knowledge of TypeScript for writing strongly-typed, scalable JavaScript.Experience working with SPA and developing engaging user interfacesKnowledge of development tools such as Docker, Github actions, continuous integration is a plus.Backend development experience with focus on maintainability and performanceFamiliarity with REST APIs or GraphQL for integrating frontend and backend.Bachelor or preferably Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or related fields.Nice-to-haveProficiency in Angular 2 for building dynamic web applications.Experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing of frontend applications.Knowledge in distributed architectures (Design patterns, micro-services, abstraction, ORM, automated testing, etc)Familiarity with Nx for managing monorepos and enhancing the developer experience.Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. HIPAA, SOC 2)Knowledge in Chemistry and/or biochemistryPlease submit your resume and a cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and verifiable track record.
