Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement Lakera’s core infrastructure and platform features in close collaboration with the founding team.
  2. Optimize and automate our cloud environments and Kubernetes clusters to support high availability and scalability.
  3. Develop and enhance our CI/CD pipelines, particularly through GitLab, to improve deployment speed and reliability.
  4. Collaborate with ML teams to build and maintain MLOps pipelines for model deployment and performance monitoring.
  5. Ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure through best practices in IAM policies, network segmentation, and secret management.
  6. Mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

About you:

  1. 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles, with a strong impact on organizational infrastructure.
  2. Expert-level knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS) and Kubernetes in production environments.
  3. Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm) and strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
  4. Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD or similar tools.
  5. Familiarity with MLOps pipelines and infrastructure for large language models (LLMs) in local or cloud environments.
  6. Strong problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach to infrastructure challenges.
  7. Proven ability to mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
