Purpose of the Function
As a (senior) Medical Affairs Manager Neurology at argenx, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare by providing medical and scientific expertise for indications and innovative therapeutics in neurology. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of science, medicine, and business, and contribute to the development and launch of cutting-edge treatments that have the potential to transform the lives of patients.
In this role you will provide scientific input and execute strategic MAEG projects, in cross-functional collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, for neurology indications with a focus on Myasthenia Gravis. You will be working closely with the indication medical lead, and you will be the main point of contact for the MAEG projects that you will be leading.
Roles and Responsibilities- Maintains the highest scientific and medical expertise of all relevant diseases and products.
- Responsible for providing strategic medical input to key medical projects defined in the indication business plans (e.g., adboards, medical education and scientific communication projects, development/review/approval of field materials, medical information materials, preparation and delivery of training activities, review of promotional and non-promotional materials, congress and other medical project support, real-world evidence projects, etc.).
- Provide other medical project support as needed.
- Review and keep abreast of relevant literature and disseminate updates, and maintain a strong understanding of competitor products, market dynamics, and therapeutic areas.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders, which include clinical development, regulatory affairs, marketing, market access and other teams to ensure scientific rigor in the execution of projects.
- Collaborate closely with regional and country medical affairs teams.
- Engage and build relationships with key experts, HCPs and other stakeholders in the scientific community to support product development, clinical trials, pre- and post-launch MAEG activities.
- Ensure full adherence to compliance and ethics rules.
- Understands complex disease areas, treatments and healthcare systems.
- Strong scientific and business acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific data.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Digitally savvy with proficiency in using medical databases and project management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and networks, and with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated communication skills within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual global environment.

- Medical, pharmaceutical or high-level scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD).
- 5+ years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, relevant experience in a similar position.
- Therapeutic area experience in neurology is an advantage.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Passion for medical innovation and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
- Ability for frequent travel as required (approximately 20-40%).
- Business fluency in English and at least one other major European language.
- Valid driver's license required.
