Job Description:

Main Accountabilities:

  • Conduct R&D activities to generate circular products and construction recycling, allowing the company to maintain its competitive advantages.
  • Participate in the development of new circular technologies and coordinate industrialization in operations.
  • Map concrete/construction demolition and circular economy landscape to identify opportunities, major challenges, actors, policies, and regulations.
  • Monitor relevant standards, norms, and existing tools related to waste management, circular economy, and recycling.
  • Screen publications, patents, and research projects on circularity, waste management, and recycling processes.
  • Look for partnerships to accelerate the adoption of sustainable products and improve life cycle analysis of materials.
  • Train and share knowledge with the rest of the company on circularity and recycling solutions.
  • Establish a network with key external labs, research centers, and universities.

Position Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
  • Technical knowledge in Sustainability / Circular Economy with expertise in norms, standards, and testing protocols in this field is required.
  • Technical expertise in sustainability or waste management.
  • Experience in analysis and costing.
  • Knowledge of the building sector: masonry, concrete construction, prefabrication, timber frame.
  • Site work experience preferred.
  • Open mind, creativity, and ability to work in an R&D environment.
  • Organized, self-sufficient, independent, and hard-working.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must; any other languages (Spanish, German, French) are an advantage.
