PerSe products are the world's highest performance capacitive solutions integrated with highly sophisticated Analog Front-Ends and digital processing for enhanced sensing performance. These ultra-small, feature-rich touch & proximity controllers are optimized for a wide range of applications such as smartphones, tablets, wearables, industrial and automotive.
Job Summary:
Searching for a talented semiconductor Applications Engineer with direct experience related to magnetic/hall sensing devices in automotive, industrial or consumer applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead new products validation to ensure compliance to specifications and expected functional behavior.
- Generate datasheets, application notes and other technical documents to promote Semtech PerSe products.
- Develop and validate evaluation/demonstration boards including circuit schematic design, PCB layout and related software specifications.
- Perform detailed competitive analysis based on documentation analysis and lab measurements.
- Work closely with key customers to optimize Semtech sensing solutions for the target application and become the technical lead to support design-in activity through interfacing with customers, FAEs, sales and factory personnel.
- Visit customer’s site to provide technical support and secure the design.
- Hold technical trainings to sales/reps/distis/partners worldwide.
- Low to Moderate Travel required – up to 20%.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years related semiconductor Applications Engineering experience.
- Experience with magnetic/hall sensing.
- BSc., BSEE or equivalent degree required. MSEE preferred.
- Good analog and mixed signal circuitry knowledge with hands-on experience in system, PCB design and complex lab setups.
- Self-driven, strong troubleshooting skills as well as adhering to project deadlines and business objectives.
- Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and share technical knowledge with colleagues.
- Possesses strong communication skills, capable of interfacing effectively at all organizational levels, with a thorough command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive is highly desirable.
- Experience with capacitive or other sensing technology is a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable (French preferred, else German/Italian/Chinese/Korean/Japanese).
