To drive our continuous organic growth, we are constantly looking for highly qualified professionals. To strengthen our Generics API portfolio team in Bubendorf, we are seeking an experience Sales Manager Portfolio Generics (f/m/d), 100%.

In this role, you will take responsibility for supporting both existing and new customers in their journey to advance affordable healthcare solutions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain or expand your sales expertise in the pharmaceutical industry. You will gain valuable insight into generic drug development, hone your negotiation skills and build meaningful, long-term relationships within the industry.

At Bachem, you’ll work closely with a team of highly experienced specialists from diverse departments, including production, quality control, quality assurance, regulatory affairs and project management. You’ll also have access to modern ERP and CRM systems to support your success.

  • Develop a deep understanding of products, industry trends and market dynamics to provide expert insights
  • Strategically develop assigned sales territories, identifying growth opportunities and building strong customer relationships
  • Organize and conduct visits to existing and prospective customers to strengthen partnerships
  • Lead price and contract negotiations with customers to maximize Bachem’s benefit
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from generating quotations to ensuring successful delivery of products
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, addressing inquiries related to product quality, regulatory filings, GMP production and analytical questions
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and optimize the quality of service through effective communication and support
  • Maintain and update customer information in the CRM system to ensure accurate and timely records
  • Actively participate in financial forecasting, demand planning, product design and market strategy discussions to align with business objectives
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Life Cycle Management (LCM) projects, coordinating internal activities to drive success
  • Represent the company at international exhibitions, building brand presence and foster business opportunities

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences or Business
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in technical sales or strategic sourcing within a CDMO/CMO setting
  • Familiarity with the Indian and MENA markets
  • Proven expertise in contract negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving
  • Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Hands-on, flexible and results-driven approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German and any additional languages is advantageous
  • Proficient in IT tools (MS Office), ERP systems (SAP) and CRM platforms (Salesforce)
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20%
