Bioprocess Engineer Manufacturing (m/f/d)

For our large scale manufacturing site in Visp, we are looking for a Bioprocess Engineer Manufacturing in Downstream. In this role, you will manage the operational activities of manufacturing projects with overall responsibility for manufacturing execution with regard to safety, quality, and on-time-in-full delivery. You will lead an interdisciplinary team of production leaders, supervisors, and specialists, and you will be accountable for the performance and results of the assigned projects including cost control.
Key responsibilities:
- Schedule, supervise, and document manufacturing activities according to cGMP guidelines.
- Act as manufacturing expert in a multi-disciplinary project team to supervise and deliver projects which range from tech transfer to clinical production stage.
- Drive continuous improvement in the production area for quality, cost, efficiency, and safety taking the established operational excellence methods into account.
- Represent Lonza manufacturing unit during customer audits and visits.
Key requirements:
- PhD or Master degree in biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, or related field.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Working experience in a GMP environment would be an advantage.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
