Team mission As an engineer in our data infrastructure team, your mission is to ensure we have a robust platform to manage data in our production systems. You will work with systems affecting the entire engineering organization. The team ensures effective data transfer between services, data storage (short and long term), and data transformation for our data teams. We act as "engineers for the engineers," helping others understand and leverage the architecture and platform. Our goal is to make it easy to set up, connect, and own data systems, while maintaining stability and security and allowing for experimentation. We use modern container-based architectures with technologies like AWS, Linux, Kafka, MySQL, and Postgres. You Will Build and scale our cloud-based data infrastructure and align it with our production systems. Improve developer tooling around databases and data infrastructure. Ensure high availability of data systems, including on-call responsibilities. Drive initiatives for better system design and new technologies. Manage roles, permissions, backups, and related tooling. Promote our data engineering culture and help the engineering team understand data systems. Who You Are Experience with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL. Experience with Kubernetes and Docker. Experience operating infrastructure on AWS. Proficient in at least one modern programming language; Java and Spring are used in our backend, VueJS in frontend. Experience developing internal tools and integrating systems/APIs is a plus. Positive, proactive team player passionate about their craft. Excellent communication skills in English.
