About this roleYou will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. For example, you’ll create algorithms and conduct statistical analysis. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.The role includes the following:Analyze and organize raw data from millions of active usersBuild, maintain and operate data systems and pipelines on AWSEvaluate business needs and objectives, map them to requirementsStrategically align data architecture with company needs and goalsDetect, investigate and interpret data trends and patternsConduct complex data analysis and report on resultsRequirementsWe have high ambitions and the vision to change the way users and customers plan and organize shopping. For this position we are looking for someone with substantial experience in Data Engineering.You are the right fit if you have:Professional experience in Data Engineering using cloud platforms (AWS strongly preferred)Data architecture understanding and experience is a must, focused particularly around current concepts of Data Mesh architectureStrong Software Engineering skills and expertise with data mining and analyticsKnowledge of programming languages (e.g. Scala, Python, Java)Experience with Apache Spark and Hadoop is highly desirableKnowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g. QuickSight, Adverity, Looker) is of advantageHands-on experience with SQL database designUnderstanding, experience, and interest in the possibilities of emerging AI tooling and practices in software engineeringGreat numerical, analytical and statistical skillsA degree in Computer and/or Data Science would be an advantageBusiness fluent in English, preferably German as wellBenefitsAt Bring Labs, we value a professional and open work culture where diverse perspectives and backgrounds are welcome.
