OverviewJoin to apply for the PIC Active Designer role at IC Resources.I’m currently partnering with an innovative photonics company in Zurich that’s developing state-of-the-art Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). They are looking for a III-V Engineer with experience in heterogeneous integration, to focus on the design and development of InP-based active components — including lasers, SOAs, modulators, and detectors — for next-generation integrated photonic systems. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of III-V materials (especially InP) and a passion for bringing together active/passive integration through heterogeneous platforms. Responsibilities Design and simulation of InP-based active photonic components Development and support of heterogeneous integration processes with other PIC platforms Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in packaging, testing, and system integration Interface with foundries and academic/industry partners for co-development and fabrication Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Solid background in InP optoelectronic device physics and design Hands-on experience with heterogeneous integration (e.g., InP-on-Si platforms) Proficiency in simulation and design tools (e.g., Lumerical, COMSOL, Synopsys) Familiarity with the PIC development ecosystem and foundry-based processes How to apply If you are interested in this position and are proficient with active component design, please get in touch with Phil Wright at IC Resources.
