Wind Tunnel Model Systems and Electronics LeadAudi F1 Project – Wind Tunnel Model Systems & Electronics Lead based in Hinwil, Switzerland. The Audi F1 project brings together the Sauber Group F1 factory in Hinwil, the Audi Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg, and the Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. The Power Unit is sourced from Neuburg and Hinwil leads chassis development and race operations with support from the UK. This position is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).OverviewYour mission is to lead the Wind Tunnel Model Systems & Electronics team, drive research and development in wind tunnel model technologies, ensure data quality and repeatability, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to advance aero development testing within the Aerodynamics Department.ResponsibilitiesPersonnel and organizational management of the Wind Tunnel Model Systems & Electronics TeamResearch & development in wind tunnel model technologies (sensors, measuring systems, actuation, control, corrections, monitoring, calibrations)WT Model onboard system concept definition, selection of components and coordination with Aero model design; electrical design & installation; control and acquisition software (model side) developmentResponsibility for data quality and repeatability (model side), including calibration and model readiness (coordination with PWS & WT operations)Continuous improvement, enhancement of functionality, and technological vigilance to improve testing performanceAccountability for detailed and up-to-date documentation for all developed and installed systemsCoordination and collaboration with WT Group teams (WT Data and Systems, Operators, Facility), Aero Operations (Model Shop, Value Stream Planning, Design) and WT testing teams for running F1 aero development WT testing programs and related improvement/innovation projectsYour profile / QualificationsBachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, automation, or equivalent experienceSeveral years of experience as a leaderProven experience in F1, motorsport, or similar environmentSeveral years of professional experience in the development of electro-mechanical systemsExperience in data engineering and measurement technologyKnowledge in electronic circuitry, PCB design and embedded systems programmingIn-depth knowledge in project management: preparation of schedules, correspondence with suppliers, preparation of status reports and reports, quotation requests/comparisons with evaluation, support of acceptance tests and quality assessments, commissioning experience and training of personnelAnalytical and structured approach with ability to recognize complex tasks and derive concrete measures and goalsConceptual thinking; self-motivating, responsible and meticulousAccurate and precise way of working; willingness and openness to learn new thingsProficiency in English; German language skills advantageousSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionGeneral Business, Management, and Business DevelopmentIndustries: Motor Vehicle Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
