Senior Engineering Treaty Underwriter

Responsible for growing a profitable and diversified portfolio including all underwriting-related functions associated with the administration of a worldwide book of new and renewal Engineering reinsurance treaty business written within the Company.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Underwriting Engineering treaty business in accordance with the Company’s underwriting and pricing guidelines.
- Further development of the Company’s Engineering treaty book on a worldwide basis.
- Visiting markets and clients to identify, develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and brokers.
- Positioning the Company as an increasingly important player in the Engineering reinsurance market.
Minimum Requirements:
- University engineering degree in a relevant subject or professionally qualified with recognized insurance qualification (ACII or other local equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years of reinsurance underwriting or industry-related experience – or, alternatively, corresponding experience in writing direct/facultative engineering business.
- Proficient and effective knowledge of MS-Office products, especially Excel.
- Language skills: Proficiency in English is a prerequisite. Additional language(s) would be a distinct advantage.
