Process Engineer / Operational Excellence Engineer

Location: Weller Erem, Bevaix, Switzerland

Job Overview:

Weller Erem, a leader in precision tool manufacturing, is in search of an Operational Excellence (OpEx) Engineer with a solid background in operational excellence, precision manufacturing, and shop floor management. This mid-career role requires proficiency in lean manufacturing, Gemba walks, and leading kaizen events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize efficient manufacturing cells, emphasizing lean methodologies
• Standardize processes to ensure uniformity and efficiency across production lines
• Conduct daily shop floor management, including reporting, gemba walks, and overseeing day-to-day operations
• Lead and execute kaizen events to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes
• Implement and enhance automation strategies in mass manufacturing settings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
• Multiple years of experience in Operational Excellence
• Proven track record in shop floor management, including conducting Gemba walks and Kaizen events
• Experience in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience in project management and staff training in operational excellence practices
