For our customer located in Basel, Switzerland we are currently looking for a Deployment Data Migration Expert (m/f/d)

  • Location: CH-Basel and remote
  • Branch: Pharma
  • Duration: 15.04.2025 – 31.03.2027
  • Work type: Remote with occasional travel to Europe
  • Contract: Freelancer and Payroll if you are located in Switzerland
Tasks & Responsibilities

The Data Migration Expert is responsible for the overall end-to-end execution of his/her data migration area/objects. This role involves working with local business and functional teams and acting as a bridge between the Global Data Migration Expert and DM Execution business teams to ensure local requirements are captured in conversion workbooks.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
  • Role applicable for large ERP programs. Responsibilities may also be assumed by GDMEs for certain projects.
  • Acts as deployment wave focal point for his/her data objects in scope for deployment project migration/local data migration scope.
  • Interacts with Business Data Owners (BDOs-Global, Regional or Local), deployment Functional Experts, ETL team members, legacy teams, etc.
  • Responsible for driving migration activities for the deployment project.
  • Responsible for verifying the data transformation tools and outputs for deployment wave projects.
  • DMW load file preparation and initial verification.
  • Coordination of defect and Hypercare incident resolution for object(s) under responsibility.
  • Design defects resolution or escalation to GDME.
Must Haves
  • Experience working with teams globally.
  • Functional expertise/knowledge and strong leadership; can thrive in an international, matrix-based organization.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, good stakeholder management.
  • 10+ years of ERP project implementation background.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages preferred).
  • Strategic and hands-on way of working (running meetings, tracking progress, managing issues).
  • Deep experience in data migration execution in multi-country/multi-systems environment.
  • SAP Certified in at least one relevant functional area, with hands-on knowledge of SAP BODS.
  • Knowledge of GxP and CSV.
