ABOUT THE ROLE



Are you an experienced Developer with a passion for digital transformation? We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Azure Devops expert with knowledge of the financial services industry and experience in deploying scalable enterprise-grade applications in a complex hybrid cloud environment.

You'll be working as part of a talented software team that works on delivering mission-critical applications in an Agile Devops organization. Your main role will be deploying and integrating a complex core banking system on Azure as part of a major project for a major Swiss bank which will form the foundation of the future modern technology stack.

Responsibilities

  1. Deploying and integrating a complex core banking system on Azure
  2. Work closely with technical experts, architects and business teams to align technical solutions with functional requirements and strategic initiatives
  3. Implementing DevOps development processes (version control strategy, code flow, application configuration strategy)
  4. Implementing continuous integration (code quality, security policies, build strategy)
  5. Implementing continuous delivery (release strategy, release management workflow, deployment patterns)
  6. Working closely with the Scrum team to understand project requirements and objectives

Requirements

  1. At least 5 years of working in a large organization or financial institution, expert in software engineering with a strong focus on Devops
  2. A Broad range of Infrastructure knowledge and experience in Unix, Linux, Shell scripting, Database, networking, virtual machines, storage and middle tier deployments with experience in a large-scale global organization on a cloud environment
  3. Azure Devops or similar cloud vendor certification
  4. Deep knowledge and experience in Azure Kubernetes AKS, network setup, containerization, cluster setup and high availability configurations
  5. Experience in deploying applications on Azure via GitLab, Terraform, ansible, helm, tiller, infrastructure as code in a ci/cd Devops environment
  6. Knowledge and experience in Azure services such as Event Hub, Service Bus, Log Analytics, Azure Application Gateway and Azure storage services
  7. Messaging, streaming, Logging and Middleware knowledge active MQ, Kafka, Splunk, Prometheus and Grafana
  8. Development know how Java 8, Kotlin, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React, Restful Api's and Hibernate
  9. Fluency in English
  10. German language skills are a significant advantage
