Fabrication Engineer for the Development of Superconducting Parametric Amplifier Technology

OverviewDuring the project, the successful candidates will be at the forefront of experimental research, both independently and as members of our research teams. You will be part of an international team working on quantum devices at ETH Zürich and EPFL. Each position is initially limited to a term of eighteen months, with potential for extension. All three new team members will contribute to regular team meetings to report on project progress.ResponsibilitiesOptimization of the existing fabrication processes at the CMi (Center of Micro- and Nanotechnology) at EPFLFabrication of next generation devices with optimized recipesYour research will benefit from the comprehensive infrastructure, expertise, and collaborative network available within our research groups.ProfileBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related fieldHands-on experience with nanofabrication techniques and processesProficiency in cleanroom protocols and equipment operationStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to develop and optimize fabrication recipes for superconducting devicesInitiative and creativity in developing new fabrication techniques and processesWe are seeking candidates with a strong interest in quantum technology based on superconducting quantum circuits.
